We are planning a one-day Tree Syrup Aotearoa workshop on Tuesday 22nd November 2022, hosted by the University of Canterbury.
Our aim for the day is to share ideas. We want your input into how we can build a tree syrup industry in Aotearoa New Zealand.
You’ll learn the backstory on how we got to where we are today, and we’ll provide an introduction to how it all works – the row-crop growing style, the tree sap harvesting and the proposed sap-to-syrup conversion. Our team will show how our research aims to fill knowledge gaps and answer questions about the viability of a tree syrup industry in Aotearoa.
Attendance is free but please register to help us manage numbers and inform catering. Lunch, morning tea and afternoon tea will be provided.
