Tree Syrup Aotearoa is a brand, not a legal entity. Activity under this brand, and represented on this website, includes:

  • a three-year research project (led by University of Canterbury, funded by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment), where we share research results and data, including details about trees, methodology, sap-syrup conversion processes and further scientific information; and
  • wider communication on the potential for investment and commercial resources to support tree syrup production in Aotearoa, where we aim to support a community of interested stakeholders to exchange ideas and experience
